my first mix in a while....

Recorded completely live and unedited, so obviously a few mistakes. Some songs you may recognise, others are from erol forumers, others are just...weird. Enjoy.

not overly wordy post #1

First up, three Russian dubsteppers under the name Giant with a fun but brilliant track sampling Herbert from Family Guy.

Giant- Crazy Herbert (Preview)

Next is a bassy remix from She Is Danger of Ellie Goulding's new single, Under The Sheets. The single itself is released on November 9th by Neon Gold, the first to release Passion Pit's Sleepyhead, so you know this will be big. Here she is performing it on Jools Holland last night:

Ellie Goulding- Under The Sheets (She Is Danger Remix)

And to round things off nicely, Strip Steve's remix of Lite Brite by Das Glow, which in my opinion shits all over the original.

Reika

Reika is a 15 year old from Brighton, that's right only fifteen, who is already making huge, filthy dubstep tunes. Check out his myspace for more tracks. For now listen to 'Youth Of Today' in its full 320 glory, and remember where you heard it first....

Reika- Youth Of Today

Fenech-Soler

Fenech-Soler are three guys from King's Cliffe (no, me neither) who make brilliantly catchy electro pop. To put it simply, they're an even better Friendly Fires. With plenty of airplay and dates supporting the likes of Groove Armada, I'd put a tenner on even your dead gran knowing who they are in six months. New single Lies is out in November on Moda, backed by remixes from, among others, the consistently brilliant The Phantom's Revenge (who agreed with me it's his best remix yet)

This Is It.

Seeing as I have literally nothing better to do with my time, I'm going to start doing this- a real proper blog with words and everything! The first song I'm posting has been on pretty much every blog in the past 24 hours, but it's been pretty heavily anticipated.

This video was previously all we had of this remix, and it certainly generated a lot of hype. Starting off with it's ravey stabs and moving into more acidy squeaks towards the end, you expect something more after the build up, but even though it doesn't deliver in that respect it's still one of the best remixes in recent months, and you will definitely hear this out a lot.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs- Heads Will Roll (A-Trak Remix)

This next track is a remix of London band Ou Est Le Swimming Pool? by A-Trak's Duck Sauce partner Armand Van Helden, it's not overly exciting but adds more to the original song that was needed for this to be played out.

And as a bonus, here's some Duck Sauce:
